Sea Tow Charlotte Harbor is a locally owned company that has been in business for over 10 years. We provide rapid response towing services to its members and the recreational boating community. We have five bright yellow boats around Charlotte Harbor. Our highly trained captains are licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard.

Our new administrative and dispatch office is located at 4140 Whidden Blvd., Ste A, Port Charlotte. Our phone number is 941-625-5454 and it is staffed 24/7/365. We monitor VHF Channels 16 and 10 from internet based digital radio equipment with a 300’ broadcast tower on Cape Haze. We also have automated radio check equipment stationed at the Punta Gorda and Burnt Store marinas. Tune your VHF to Ch. 24 and ask for your radio check, the reply you get is what the equipment hears.

The area we cover includes all of Charlotte Harbor, both the Myakka and Peace Rivers, Gasparilla Sound up to the Boca Grande Causeway Bridge and south to the Pine Island Bridge at Matlacha and Pine Island Sound to Captiva Pass. There is also no distance limit off shore. If we can establish good communications and have a good GPS position with the stranded member we can respond to the disabled vessel.

Members enjoy unlimited free towing services to their home dock, boat ramp or local repair facility if disabled. Members also receive free soft un-groundings, fuel and oil drops. You pay only for the fuel and oil, not the delivery. We also provide dead battery jump starts, propeller disentanglements, weather reports, local information and member only discounts. We have a dock-to-dock towing service by appointment.

Annual membership fee is $169/year. Member services are available nationwide if you travel out of our area. Membership covers any boat you own, rent, lease or borrow provided you are in command of that vessel.

Nonmember towing rates begin at $300/hour. On an individual contract basis we provide salvage operations for vessels taking on water, swamped, sunk, severely damaged and hard aground.

We are HAZMAT licensed and trained for oil and fuel spill clean-up. Sea Tow Charlotte Harbor spent several months working the oil spill cleanup from the Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. We have sufficient supplies and equipment in reserve to quickly respond to a local oil or fuel spill.
